Between May and October, Sea Turtles use Florida beaches, including our own Deerfield Beach, as a nesting site.  These incredible creatures return each year to the exact same spot they were born to nest and lay eggs.  As an active participant in the preservation of these endangered species, Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa observes special practices during Sea Turtle nesting season.  Beach Services will not be allowed to set up chairs, umbrellas, etc. until the beach has been cleared by a DNR Research Scientist on a daily basis. In essence, this will mean that most days Beach Services will not be available to our guests until approximately 9:00-9:30 AM.

You may observe nests on our beaches throughout the summer.  It's a Federal offense to disturb these nests, and any interference can have a serious affect on the successful hatching of turtle babies.   Help us celebrate our support of a Green World, and give the turtles all the respect due to them.
